InfluenceAsia 100: Asia's Most Influential Leaders 2019 identifies leaders whose actions, institutions, platforms and public authority materially shaped the region during the 2019 annual window. The ranking is not a popularity table, wealth table or office hierarchy; it evaluates consequence, execution, field leadership, institutional reach and the leader's contribution to Asia's annual development narrative.

The 2019 leadership cycle was defined by high-stakes governance, technology sovereignty, digital platforms, financial credibility, climate and health awareness, cultural globalization, civic mobilization and the modernization of Asian enterprise. The most influential leaders were those able to convert position, expertise, reputation or platform control into decisions that changed behavior beyond their immediate organization.

The edition considers Asian, Asia-based and Asia-origin leaders whose 2019 work materially shaped Asian or global systems from an Asian leadership standpoint. The edition is an InfluenceAsia editorial and research assessment of leadership consequence during the 2019 annual window.

2019 Leadership Universe Formation
InfluenceAsia formed a 2019 leadership universe across government, business, technology, finance, science, education, culture, sport and civic society, focusing on leaders with Asia-centered or Asia-origin influence.

Eligibility Review
Leaders were reviewed for active 2019 relevance, role clarity, field contribution, regional consequence and evidence of leadership rather than passive fame. Figures whose visibility lacked leadership consequence were removed.

Contribution Assessment
InfluenceAsia evaluated the leader's 2019 contribution through governance impact, enterprise execution, platform reach, institutional authority, scientific value, cultural resonance, public-service significance and civic consequence.

Weighted Influence Scoring
Each leader was assessed across seven weighted dimensions: 2019 leadership consequence, institutional reach, field-defining contribution, Asia relevance, execution, narrative power and durability.

Sector and Regional Calibration
The final list balances East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia and West Asia while comparing unlike leadership models through a consistent InfluenceAsia leadership-influence standard.

Publication Standard
Entries are written from a 2019 publication perspective. Later outcomes are not used to upgrade or downgrade a leader; the language reflects what could be responsibly recognized within the 2019 annual edition.
