The ranking applies a 100-point InfluenceAsia editorial scoring model designed for a 2016 assessment of scale, execution, innovation, capital importance and durable influence.

InfluenceAsia evaluated Asian-headquartered and Asia-rooted companies across listed groups, private technology platforms, strategic state-owned enterprises and diversified corporate groups. The ranking focuses on the company level rather than individual executives.

The assessment reflects the information and strategic context available during 2016. Later outcomes, restatements or subsequent market movements are not used to rewrite the 2016 editorial perspective.

Scores combine quantitative scale signals with editorial judgment about regional importance, international relevance and the company's ability to shape its field.
